Prof. Dr. Olivier M. Vanderveken, MD, PhD, is a full-time ENT, Head and Neck Surgeon at the Antwerp University Hospital in Belgium where he is appointed as the Chair of the Department. He holds a position as Professor at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Antwerp.Prof. Dr. Vanderveken received his medical degree from University of Antwerp in 2001. He completed an ENT, Head and Neck Surgery residency at the Antwerp University Hospitals. In 2007, he obtained a PhD in Medical Sciences on the topic of the fundamental and multidisciplinary approach to upper airway collapse during sleep-disordered breathing. His main research is in the area of sleep-disordered breathing, in particular pathophysiological assessment of upper airway collapse including pathophysiological phenotyping, drug-induced sleep endoscopy, treatment of sleep apnea with mandibular advancement devices and upper airway surgery including hypoglossal nerve stimulation and transoral robotic surgery. His other research topic is in the area of the microbiota of the upper respiratory tract. Prof. Dr. Vanderveken has co-authored several professional scientific publications in high-impact peer reviewed journals. He is an Associate Editor of the Journal 'Sleep and Breathing' and the Deputy Editor of the ‘Journal of Dental Sleep Medicine’. He is appointed as the Editor-in-Chief of the journal B-ENT, the official publication of the Royal Belgian ENT – Head and Neck Surgery Society. In the past, Olivier Vanderveken has been awarded several national and international scientific awards including the “AADSM Clinical Research Award” in 2011, the “AADSM Clinical Excellence Award” in 2011 and the “Pierre Robin Academic Award” of AADSM in 2012 from American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine.Olivier Vanderveken holds a Senior Clinical Investigator Fellowship at the Research Foundation Flanders (FWO) in Belgium supporting him to pursue a full-fledged career in translational research.Professor Vanderveken is the founding President of the 'interdisciplinary Belgian Dental Sleep Medicine Academy (iBEDSMA)', is a member of the board of the Belgian Oto-Rhino-Laryngology and Head and Neck Surgery Association and is currently appointed as the president of the Financial Committee of the Medical Board at Antwerp University Hospital.

During Len’s tenure, the company grew three times faster than the industry average, expanded gross margins, and set company records for profitability. At MicroDental, Len was named to ExecRank’s list of top executives for privately held companies in 2012 and 2013. In 2016, Len led the sale of MicroDental Laboratories to the Modern Dental Group (HKG:3600).
Len also spent 10 years at 3M Company and Stryker Corporation in strategic business development, business unit management and product development capacities. While at 3M, Len received his Six Sigma accreditation, and was awarded the company’s Golden Step Award, Circle of Technical Excellence Team Award, and Global Sales and Marketing Leadership Award.
Len earned an M.B.A. from the University of Minnesota’s Carlson School of Management and a B.A. from Brown University. A lifelong learner, Len has completed executive education programs at John’s Hopkins, and is a member of the Young President’s Organization (YPO).
Prof. Dr. Marc Braem graduated in 1975 as a general dentist and defended this PhD thesis in 1980 in the field of dental composites and non-destructive mechanical testing. This research topic gradually shifted towards fatigue testing of both composites and dental adhesives.Since 1980 he became affiliated with the University of Antwerp (Belgium) where he is now emeritus professor related to the Dental Materials Lab that is involved with mechanical testing of oral appliances and 3D-printing applications. He is the head of the dental special care unit at the Antwerp University Hospital that is primarily involved with multidisciplinary clinical treatment and research in patients diagnosed with obstructive sleep apnea. This multidisciplinary team has secured substantial research funding from the Flemish Government, from national scientific organizations as well as the industry and has been recognized with several national as well as international rewards related to their research on obstructive sleep apnea.He has published in the leading peer-reviewed scientific journals and is often appointed as a reviewer of submitted papers, he lectures on national and international meetings, and is involved with medico-legal issues as an expert appointed by the Court. In 2017 Prof. Braem has received the “Pierre Robin Award” from the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine.Finally, he is the honorary president of the European Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine that has installed a dental sleep medicine accreditation programme to join with national dental sleep medicine societies in Europe.
Lieutenant Colonel Neal is a clinician, educator, and leader with 32 years of federal service. He is the Army lead for Dental Sleep Medicine and co-authored the DOD/VA Clinical Practice Guideline to standardize Sleep Apnea and Insomnia care for service members and Veterans. He wrote the Army Policy on Dental Sleep Medicine and created the first Army Dental Sleep Medicine Short Course, in 2017, that continues today and has educated over 500 dentists on management of sleep disordered breathing. As Chief Dental Surgeon for Operation Inherent Resolve, he was the first to bring dental sleep medicine to the battlefield, delivering ProSomnus appliances to service members in Iraq.
Dr. Neal is a graduate of Medical College of Georgia, a board certified Comprehensive Dentist, former delegate to the AGD, and member of the Order of Military Medical Merit. He has completed all requirements for Board Certification in Dental Sleep Medicine (ABDSM).

Dr. Shouresh Charkhandeh is the Global Scientific Committee Chair for ProSomnus® Sleep Technologies. Within his role, Dr. Charkhandeh works with leading clinicians around the world to assess and design relevant research to best serve patients suffering from OSA and to answer critical questions clinicians have in case selection amongst many therapies offered for the treatment of OSA.Dr. Charkhandeh received his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) Degree and Bachelor of Medical Sciences from the University of Alberta, Canada. Dr. Stacey Layman, DDS, is an experienced dentist with a specialization in Dental Sleep Medicine (DSM), boasting over 15 years in the field. She holds prestigious diplomate status from both the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine (AADSM) and the American Sleep and Breathing Academy (ASBA).
Dr. Layman's contributions to the DSM sector have been significant. She co-founded GoGo Billing, a pioneering DSM medical billing company, and is a co-founder of GoTo Sleep Centers, a multi-doctor DSM practice located in Arizona.

A native of Newark, Dr. John Carollo has lived in New Jersey his entire life. He received his Bachelor of Arts from Rutgers University and his Doctor of Dental Medicine from University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, (now Rutgers Dental School). Dr. Carollo is a fellow in The American Academy of Sleep Medicine, (AASM). Dr. Carollo is a Diplomate in The American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine, (D-ABDSM); and The American Sleep Breathing Academy (D-ASBA). He has maintained his current practice in Florham Park since 1985. For more than 30 years Dr. Carollo has built an impeccable reputation in the community.
Throughout the dental profession, Dr. Carollo is a respected author, lecturer and peer. Dr. Carollo has presented over 300 lectures on Dental Implants, Cosmetic Dentistry and Dental Sleep Medicine. Dr. Edward T. Sall is Medical Director for ProSomnus® Sleep Technologies. As Medical Director, Dr. Sall focuses on enhancing physician acceptance of Oral Appliance Therapy for patients with Obstructive Sleep Apnea.
He obtained a DDS from Columbia University School of Dental and Oral Surgery in 1980. Due to his interest in facial pain and temporomandibular disorders he decided to return to medical school for additional training. He attended SUNY Upstate Medical Center and received an MD in 1987, followed by a 5-year residency in Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery. Since 1992, Dr. Sall has practiced in Syracuse, New York as an Otolaryngologist and Dentist with an emphasis on TMD, facial pain, general Otolaryngology and the surgical and medical management of sleep disorders. He obtained an MBA from SUNY Binghamton in 2000 with an emphasis in healthcare. Dr. Sall became board certified in Sleep Medicine and has treated over 3,500 patients with Oral Appliance Therapy.
Dr. John E. Remmers is a world-renowned expert in the field of snoring and sleep apnea, being the first researcher to elucidate the pathogenesis of sleep apnea and to demonstrate that sleep apnea is caused by an anatomical narrowing of the pharynx.
As a recognized pioneer and innovator in sleep medicine, Dr. Remmers has invented products ranging from portable diagnostic sleep monitors to auto-titrating CPAP devices, including proactive algorithms to automatically adjust CPAP pressure based on patient need.
Dr. Remmers served two terms as the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Applied Physiology and has presented honorary research lectures to the American Thoracic Society, the American Physiological Society and American College of Chest Physicians. His research interests relate to the neurobiology of respiratory rhythmogenesis, chemoreception, and the pathophysiology of the control of breathing. Dr. Remmers has published over one hundred peer reviewed publications in the area of respiratory physiology.
Dr. Remmers is a pulmonologist and professor emeritus of internal medicine at the University of Calgary. Dr. Remmers founded the sleep lab at the Foothills Medical Centre in Calgary in 1984 and is the Chief Scientist of ProSomnus® Sleep Technologies.

Erin Mosca is the Director of Scientific and Medical Affairs for ProSomnus Sleep Technologies. Erin has over a decade of experience in the fields of respiratory neurophysiology and sleep medicine. Prior to joining ProSomnus, Erin was the Director of Technology and Regulatory for Zephyr Sleep Technologies. At Zephyr, Erin was involved in design, validation, and regulatory activities for a number of medical devices, including home sleep apnea test and novel auto-titration devices as well as temporary oral appliances and other dental sleep medicine tools. Erin also has experience working in clinical drug trials and as a medical writer in early phase drug development. Erin completed a BSc in Neuroscience at the University of Lethbridge and a PhD in Neuroscience at the University of Calgary.
Dr. Mark Murphy is a Diplomate of the American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine. He started a DSM program at the University of Detroit Mercy and lectures internationally on leadership, practice management, case presentation, and sleep disordered breathing. Dr. Murphy has contributed to numerous articles published in peer-reviewed medical and dental journals. He is an informative and entertaining speaker, blending a stand-up style of humor and anecdotes with current evidence-based research that attendees can take home and use immediately.
Dr. Gottlieb is Associate Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School, Director of the Sleep Disorders Center at the VA Boston Healthcare System, and faculty in the Program in Sleep Medicine Epidemiology in the Division of Sleep and Circadian Disorders at Brigham & Women’s Hospital. Dr. Gottlieb is a clinician and researcher with over 30 years of experience in multi-center observational cohort studies and clinical trials focusing on the cardiovascular consequences of sleep apnea, including the Sleep Heart Health Study, the Heart Biomarker Evaluation in Apnea Treatment Study, and the VA Million Veteran Program, and served as the Sleep Phenotypes Working Group convener for the Cohorts for Heart and Aging Research in Genomic Epidemiology (CHARGE) consortium. He is an Associate Editor and past Deputy Editor of the journal Sleep and has served on multiple scientific advisory committees and data and safety monitoring boards. He was a member of several American Academy of Sleep Medicine task forces, including those developing clinical practice guidelines for home sleep apnea testing, sleep apnea event definitions, and surgical referral for sleep apnea treatment. His recent work has focused on identification of metrics to improve prediction of sleep apnea-related cardiovascular risk, including symptom, physiologic, and genetic biomarkers of risk, and exploring possible unanticipated adverse effects of continuous positive airway pressure for treatment of sleep apnea.
Sung Kim is Co-founder and Chief Technology Officer for ProSomnus® Sleep Technologies. Prior to starting ProSomnus, Sung was Engineering Director of MicroDental Laboratories and was responsible for product and process development projects including the MicrO2® Sleep and Snore Device. Before MicroDental Laboratories, Sung worked for 3M Company for over 7 years holding several senior level product development and engineering positions and has either authored or co-authored a number of patents related to the dental and orthodontic industries. Sung was a Circle of Technical Excellence Individual Winner in 3M Health Care Business. Sung holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo.
Dr. Ali Azarbarzin is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Harvard Medical School and a lead investigator at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital. He directs the Sleep Apnea Health Outcomes Group at the Harvard Medical School. Dr. Azarbarzin received his undergraduate and master’s degrees from Iran and his PhD in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Manitoba in Canada. Dr. Azarbarzin pursued his postdoctoral fellowship under Dr. Magdy Younes and joined the Sleep Disordered Breathing Lab at Harvard in 2015. His research interests lie in the area of physiological consequences of sleep apnea, ranging from markers of cardiovascular and neurocognitive health outcomes to identifying individuals who benefit most from a treatment.
Dr. Max Kerr is a highly successful dental entrepreneur and Professional EOS Implementer. After graduating from UTHSCHAS in 2007, he built a multi-million-dollar dental practice that he sold in 2022. Currently, he is the co-owner and operator of Sleep Better Austin, a leading dental sleep medicine office with 6 locations in the Austin, TX area and 1 in Bentonville, AR.
